Morgaine

Morgaine is originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Her career as a professional artist began in 1996 whilst she was living in nearby Haworth. Here her paintings of the wild Yorkshire Moors found a ready market in the many visitors to the heart of the "Bronte Country". Following a move back to Wakefield she concentrated her work mainly on commissions for a private collector in France. His enthusiasm for the style of her figurative work saw her sending some twenty five works to him over a three year period. Then, in 2004, she lived three years in the U.S.A. During this time, as well as using the American landscape as a subject for her paintings, she also developed her photographic skills. Returning to England in 2007 she settled in Dorset. Once again the countryside that she found herself in is the inspiration for her work. Having developed her own unique style, her paintings of the human form at one with nature combine her great love of these two subjects: figurative and landscape.
